Support for Advanced Printstreams and Text Reports
EMC ERMXtender provides direct support for AFP, Metacode, PCL and PDF printstreams, as well as traditional text formats including ASCII and EBCDIC(K). Direct support ensures that advanced formatting is not lost during processing - meaning that you can reproduce the original report easily and quickly.

High Fidelity Electronic Presentment of Reports
Advanced printstreams are converted to PDF for high fidelity (WYSIWYG) presentment, either locally or on the web. Forms overlay capability provides enhanced presentment for text reports. Since the reports are replicas of the printed version, service representatives can quickly help customers with questions, or e-mail or print duplicate originals as necessary. Customers can access their statements via the web, and download them for their own records. Electronic presentment can dramatically improve productivity and reduce cost of customer service.

Automatic Report Indexing
EMC ERMXtender's Extract Definition Script (XDS) language is flexible enough to understand the complex commands within each report to successfully interpret and index during processing. Since ERMX runs as an NT Service, reports are automatically processed in the background, just as soon as they are produced.

Supports Co-mingled and Dynamic Printstreams
Many companies co-mingle printstreams, such as alternating cover letters with statements. EMC ERMXtender intelligently parses such co-mingled reports for proper indexing and storage. Further, if dynamic formatting is used within the printstream, such as placement of company logos on statements, ERMx will properly interpret the formatting so that the electronic representation will replicate the printed document.

System Monitoring to Ensure Peak Performance
EMC ERMXtender includes monitoring tools to audit system use and performance, as well as to confirm whether a job has been processed. If an error occurs during processing, the error log reports where the problem occurred, to ensure that processing can resume efficiently.

Fully Integrated with Content Management and Storage Through tight integration with EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender and EMC WebXtender, reports and indexes processed via ERMx can be managed and delivered just as easily as any other type of content. Integration with EMC DiskXtender ensures that report information remains available for the long-term. Finally, you can store the information on whatever media best meets your enterprise requirements - Optical, WORM, Tape, DVD-RAM or CD-ROM.
