EMC ReportXtender (Rx) provides a complete content distribution mechanism for EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender (Ax) by allowing you to collect, index and place content on CD for distribution to third parties who may or may not have Ax. You can also import content from Rx CDs back into Ax for use, just as if it were generated natively. Rx also features seamless integration with existing business applications.

Simple, Intuitive Extraction Wizard
Easily define criteria for EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender content to be included on storage media. Depending on your specific needs, the index and content can be placed on single CD-ROM media or span multiple media. EMC ReportXtender is independent of CD authoring hardware and software allowing you to select what best meets your needs.

Content Viewing
The Rx Viewer provides easy-to-use, read-only access to content on CD-ROM media based on keyword search and retrieval, ensuring that content can be retrieved on any Windows-based computer with a CD-ROM drive. Alternatively, view content on ROM media using your Ax desktop client.

Import Content from Media to EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender
The optional reintegration wizards integrate index and content from an Rx created CD-ROM to Ax. Reintegrated content can be used and managed directly in Ax - just as though it was generated natively. This provides the ability to share content between different instances of Ax - facilitating data transfer and sharing between business partners, suppliers, vendors or other third parties.

Flexible Licensing
Purchase only the number of CDs you expect to create - expand later as needed. Adding to the CD count is a simple, electronic process - no need to wait for shipping of new software or hardware. If you are upgrading from the previous version, the CD count remaining on your current license is retained.
