MasterScan Data Transformation
Allows document images and index values from a variety of distribution formats to be processed through Kofax Ascent Capture, or imported directly into any document management system.
MasterScan Desktop
Provides a centralized point of access for a suite of components that enhance and extend the capabilities of EMC Documentum ApplicationXtender (AX). It provides a user interface for viewing the documents currently stored in the database, allows documents to be selected using one or more queries, and provides access to the data assimilation and data distribution modules.
Additional features of MasterScan Desktop:
Audit Trail Query Tool - Provides an intuitive, simple interface for extracting information from the AX audit trail. Determining user productivity in scanning environments, auditing access to secure documents, and tracing deleted documents are all simple point-and-click tasks with MasterScan Desktop.
Database Integrity Checker - Scans the AX database to identify structural problems such as orphaned images, documents with missing pages, and invalid links that can result from server crashes or data conversions. MasterScan can even recreate document entities from orphaned files and place them into a batch indexing queue.
Media Distribution - Allows documents stored in AX to be exported to portable media such as CD-ROM or DVD, along with an executable viewer and HTML index. This functionality is ideal for service bureaus, legal firms and lockbox applications where documents need to be distributed electronically.
Data Assimilation - Provides a driver-based import function that provides high-speed import of documents and index data into AX. Simply point and click to map index fields from the data source to AX fields, and click start. Allows custom transformation of data or database lookups through VBA scripting. Drivers are available for most CD-ROM distribution formats, including:

Kodak Document Archive Writer (DAW) Integration - Integrates AX directly with Kodak's DAW 4800 or DAW 9600, allowing document images from AX to be written directly to microfilm in a single operation. In service bureau operations, images can be extracted to CD-ROM at a remote site, and then written to microfilm at a central location.
